Powering global payables and receivables for the world’s biggest brands.
TransferMate – a subsidiary of CluneTech – was established in 2010. Our founder, Terry Clune, recognized the demand in the market for a user-friendly, straightforward, and cost-effective solution for international money transfers.
Under the leadership of CEO Sinead Fitzmaurice, TransferMate began working with regulators around the world to secure licenses to operate as a global payment’s provider. Through the combination of this network and our award-winning technology, we have forged enduring partnerships with prominent banks, fintech companies, and software providers.
In 2022, TransferMate achieved unicorn status, and has now built a global payments network covering 200+ countries and territories and 140+ currencies on the foundation of 92 licenses.
Entrepreneur Terry Clune is the CEO and founder of CluneTech, formerly Taxback Group.
In 1996, inspired by his own experience after a summer working in Germany, Terry launched his first company, Taxback.com, to help students reclaim their overpaid tax. Since then, under Terry’s stewardship, the group has expanded to encompass a suite of companies that offer industry-leading technology to simplify global business. In late 2021, the group rebranded as CluneTech to reflect the breadth and depth of the solutions and services we offer.
Following 10 successful years with PricewaterhouseCooper (PwC) in both Ireland and the Channel Islands, Sinead joined Taxback Group as Financial Controller in 2005. The company has seen significant growth under her leadership with investments from ING in 2018 and recent strategic relationships announced with Wells Fargo, Coupa, SAP Concur, FIS, Ivalua and WEX.
