Intrinsiq, a leading school management solution system, have announced they are partnering with TransferMate to upgrade the international payment capabilities of their software. The integration will allow Intrinsiq education clients collect student payments from across the world within an easy-to-use platform.
Students and agents will now be able to make tuition payments using multiple payment methods, benefit from preferential exchange rates, and be able to do it all within a single system without being redirected to 3rd party platforms.
“We’re delighted to be able to offer this integration to our users” said Mark Milford, Director at Intrinsiq. “It gives them more options on how to pay, a more cost-effective solution, and a better experience overall. It’s a real step forward in the payment infrastructure underpinning our solutions.”
Intrinsiq works across the world, serving language schools, accommodation providers, universities, guardianship and pathway programme providers, with more than 135k students using their service each year. Their software platform allows these clients to manage their institutions in aspects ranging from admissions and enrolment to class scheduling.
TransferMate has built the largest fintech payment infrastructure in the world, which Intrinsiq clients now get instant access to once they choose to activate the integration, built on the foundation of 92 licenses from individual countries and territories.
“Intrinsiq are known for building bespoke solutions that match the needs of their education clients” said Thomas Butler, Commercial Director of Education at TransferMate. “They’ll now be able to offer an improved payment capability as part of that solution. To put simply, it makes everyone’s lives a little bit easier, for agents, for the institutions, and above all for the students.”
The secure infrastructure behind TransferMate’s infrastructure was a key factor for Intrinsiq choosing them as a partner. As a fully regulated money service business (MSB), TransferMate has more robust security and compliance processes and features compared to PSP (payment service provider) payment providers.
“We’ve taken a compliance-first approach to how we move funds across borders on behalf of our clients” continued Thomas Butler. “Funds are kept in segregated escrow accounts, our levels of security required are similar to that of a bank, and we are licensed to convert and transmit funds on behalf of our clients without having to rely on 3rd parties.”
